Don't disturb my friend. He's dead tired.

Day 1: If you have ever been out of your own time zone with a kid you know that it is not a kid's top priority to reset their internal clock to local time. Our family occupied two vacation homes and every kid, independent of the others, woke up at 3:30am that first day. It was not as awful as it sounds, although it was kind of. We got up, ate breakfast, lounged around, got dressed and then went to the beach. We were on the beach by 5:30am which mean we had the place to ourselves. I thought we would only be walking around the beach so I mistakenly dressed my girls in their clothes. Silly Mom. Their cousins were in swimsuits and it didn't take much coaxing to get my girls to join them in the water.

Testing the water

Not listening to Mom when she yells, "You're getting your clothes wet!" Duh, Mom.

It was a good day. It was a very, very long day (they all are if you wake up at 3:30am). My favorite quote of the day was when Jason was leading family home evening and was talking about the importance of education only to look down and stop mid-sentence then say, "Hey, this shirt is on backwards." Maybe it was only funny if you were there and totally jet-lagged but believe me it was hilarious.

For some reason Juliet chose to walk on all fours that entire morning.

My guess was Weekend at Bernie's. But I didn't ever see that movie. So who knows.
